Our valuations are purely data-driven and based on the constantly changing retail market.
There's no opinion or bias in our valuations. They're powered by the advertised prices of the vehicles on our platform.
We look at millions of vehicles and update our valuations every day to make sure they're accurate:
- Adverts from a range of trusted sources
- Autotrader dealer websites
- Values from major car auctions
- Ex-fleet and leasing car values
There are some vehicles we don’t have enough information for, so we may not be able to value them:
- Prestige brands
- Very new cars
- Cars older than 15 years
- Imported vehicles
- Vehicles with an insurance write-off category marker
- Vans
- Bikes
- Caravans
- Motorhomes
- Trucks, Plant and Farm vehicles
We adjust valuations for the make, model, age and mileage of each vehicle.
Good to know: We don't take modifications, optional extras or overall condition into account. We base it on the vehicle being in good condition for its age, so it could have some minor wear and tear.
If it’s in excellent condition with no damage, it's likely to be worth more than our guide price.
Ultimately, you can advertise your vehicle at the price you prefer. Make sure you use the attention grabber and description to highlight the key selling points for your vehicle to potential buyers.
