We're making some more improvements to Portal Analytics after listening to recent customer feedback.
We'll be highlighting all types of leads and updating language to show
- ‘Total Leads’ including ‘Online Leads'
- 'Total Connections'
You'll see changes to the analytics available in Portal and to your weekly performance email.
Good to know: These changes only apply if you're a Deal Builder customer. However, if you're part of a division where at least one site has Deal Builder, you'll see the changes for all sites.
What are Online Leads?
Leads generated via adverts that include one or more of the following:
- Reservation
- Finance
- Part Exchange
- Message (email)
What's the difference between Total Leads and Total Connections?
Total Leads show the leads with greater buyer intent. They're when potential buyers have directly contacted you through Autotrader.
They include:
- Online Leads
- Calls
- Live chat
- Automated (Offline) chat
- Text
Good to know: A single online lead can include multiple items (e.g. message + part exchange + finance), so adding up individual items won't match the total number of Online Leads.
Total Connections show buyer interest. They're when potential buyers research you on Autotrader without making direct contact yet. These signals indicate they're interested in your vehicles and are checking out your business before potentially reaching out.
Connections include:
- Website visits
- Location and directions
- Store visits
